WORRY

WORRY

TODAY’S INSPIRATION

When life we rely on our own strength, then our lives will be vulnerable to anxiety. Anxiety is the twin brother of concern. Worry brings anxiety and vice versa. And if anxiety breeds then our lives would be easy gripped by fear that resulted mankind fall into sin that never receive the promises of God.

Anxiety is a tool the devil to undermine our faith that has been painstakingly built upon the grace of Christ and believe in His promises. Imagine how the time we wake up every day the anxiety always peek chance to enter our thoughts. If we open up a little gap, then every waking morning, our minds will be filed with a lot of anxiety and concern.

The number of bills to pay, credit card bills, school fees, fear of losing job, expense / sales target, fear of sickness, and etc.

But if we want to step up a step of faith, take an act of faith to believe in and rely on God alone, and rely on God’s promise that is the word of God, then agitated just a little tone-color that makes our lives so much more dynamic and more alive. Anxiety makes our life more wisely and careful to raise awareness that we need to live in Christ, we cannot live without Christ.

TODAY’S WORD: Psalm 42:1-6, NKJV

Yearning for God in the Midst of Distresses

To the Chief Musician. A Contemplation of the sons of Korah.

42 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say to me, “Where is your God?” 4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast. 5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance. 6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me; Therefore I will remember You from the land of the Jordan, And from the heights of Hermon, from the Hill Mizar.

TODAY’S VERSE TO REMEMBER:

Do not let your hearts be trouble. You believe in God; believe also in Me (Jesus)” (John 14:1)

TODAY’S ACTION:

“Let your heart be troubled, trust in the Lord” say this word of God because the word of God will become a rhema of life which will present God’s greatest protection.

CALL HIS NAME!

CALL HIS NAME!

TODAY’S INSPIRATION

When in trouble, when in his weakness, as there is no way, that’s most appropriate moment for us to experience the power of God working incredible, because human is no longer reliable. But at a time when there are two options that can be done:

  1. Running from reality. Humans are too selfish to raise their own strength and underestimated the power of God often do this when they are in trouble, when in weakness, when there are no roads. They will blame anything that can be blamed for self-justification. Because egoism they look for a shortcut to run away from reality.
  2. Humbling to come to Jesus and cry out to Him. It’s no easy to be able to come to God with a humble heart and sign of surrender to God on his knees. This step requires self-denial, self-discharge, which means we should be the dominant human spirit and our physical human beings should be increasingly lost. For only by the Holy Spirit, we will be able to kneel, bow down to worship and called out the name of Jesus.

Then the Lord to whom we called out His name will not stay silent, He will deliver us from the evil plans that come out from our mouths to glorify God’s name.

Will you call out His name called not only when distress? But also to continue to worship and praise God in all circumstances and He will deliver not only us but we defend like the apple of His eye alone will never let us be touched at all by the evil and influence.

TODAY’S WORD: Psalm 34:16-23, NKJV

16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. 17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. 18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. 20 He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken. 21 Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. 22 The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

TODAY’S VERSE TO REMEMBER:

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” (Psalm 50:15)

TODAY’S ACTION:

Cried out to God not to shout in a loud voice, for God’s ear is no less sharp to hear. Crying out can be done with the earnest prayer of faith in the Lord by directly surrender to Him then He will definitely give the best for us.

God wants you to involve Him in every aspect of your life.

THE BLESSINGS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN OUR LIVES

29 Oct

Excerpt from the Sermon by Pastor Dr Vincent Leoh, Senior Pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia – Ministering at Bethany International Service, Sun, 25 Oct 2015. Summarised by Sister Stella Ho and Sister Susy.

THE BLESSINGS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN OUR LIVES

We are living in ever changing circumstances. This year, 2015, is a year of multiplied miracles.  In order for us to experience miracles in our life, we need the Holy Spirit.  The life and ministry of Jesus Christ was filled by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus started His ministry after the Holy Spirit anointed Him.

The greatest miracle is from within when we are born again through the Holy Spirit.  Christian life is meant to be a supernatural life in the Holy Spirit.  Many important aspects of the Holy Spirit are found in the book of John.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you (John 14:16-18).

John refered to the Holy Spirit as the “Paraclete” (A Greek word) – the blessings of the Holy Spirit.

“Parakletos” means somebody who is called alongside to be with the people of God.

A “paraclete” is one who comforts, cheers, encourages, strengthens and empowers.

What are the blessings of the Holy Spirit?

Blessings of the Holy Spirit

  1. The Blessing of His Person: Helper

Somebody who is exactly like Jesus, speaks of another of the same kind (allos).

“Parakletos” is not used anywhere else in the Bible, only in the book of John.  Therefore the Holy Spirit can be our Intercessor, Mediator, Counselor, Comforter Advocate and Friend.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever (John 14:16).

The Holy Spirit is God and He is a Person.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalms 46:1).

Talk to the Holy Spirit daily and proactively in order for Him to help us.  He is our helper and friend.  The Holy Spirit is your best friend.  Don’t Facebook your problems but “Face God” and let the Holy Spirit help us in our struggles and in every situation.

  1. The Blessing of His Presence: Indwelling

The Holy Spirit has come to dwell within us.  We will never be alone.  We can commune with the Holy Spirit within us.  Learn to connect with the Holy Spirit.

Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you (John 14:17).

  1. The Blessing of His Purpose: Instruction

The Holy Spirit teaches us and guides us in God’s will.  A great deal of our ineffectiveness can be attributed to ignoring the Holy Spirit (Oswald Sander).  His guidance is so real and we will become effective Christians.  Ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit for whatever decisions we make.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you (John 14:26).

  1. The Blessing of His Power: Impact

The Holy Spirit is our Source of Power. Life’s problems consume a lot of power.  It drains our energy, depletes our courage and we lose our patience.  The pressure of people around us gets us down and problems stir us up.  The power of the Holy Spirit will lift our spirit more than we can ever imagine.

“You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe. I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me; but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. Get up, let us go from here” (John14:28-31).

There are 44 things that the Holy Spirit can do for us – written by Bruce Edwards.

How do we receive the blessings of the Holy Spirit?

❖ Love Jesus (John 14:15): “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”

❖ Obey Him (John14:21): Yield to the Holy Spirit and He will surely come.

❖ Seek Him (John 15:27): Desire for Him, wait upon Him.

❖ Depend on Him (John 14:17): Make the Holy Spirit not only the resident in our heart but the president of our life. The Holy Spirit directs our lives.

We cannot do without the Holy Spirit in this world.  The work of the Holy Spirit is vital to our faith individually and corporately.  Who do we go to when we face problems?  Do not forget the Trinity of God.  Do not settle for 2/3 of God (Father and Jesus only).  They are called Bi-tarians rather than Trinitarians.  We should not only know God and Jesus; we must also engage the Holy Spirit in our life.  Do we know the Holy Spirit, how familiar are we with the Holy Spirit?

Pray in the Spirit, honor the Holy Spirit and He will grant you the rewards of faith.  A person controlled by the Holy Spirit is unconquerable (Pastor Reinhard Bonnke).  We shall have the victory. Be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows (Psalm 23:5).

HAVE WE THANKED GOD?

HAVE WE THANKED GOD?

TODAY’S INSPIRATION

Note the two numbers 6 and 4. Both figures are visible just two points in the number of rows of numbers from 1 to 10, no extraordinary all is ordinary. But when each number was started sequenced the numbers began to give meaning and significance. These figures will be more meaningful and valuable if we look from the point of a more focused because when we focus then we will see a different meaning.

Such as from a mathematical calculation, from the number 6 to 4, the movement is called a reduction of 33% while from 4 to 6, the movement is called an increase of 50% with respect to more focused then we get the meaning / value of different although the distance between the numbers between 4 and 6 within two points.

A list of events in our lives may be very simple, and perhaps we forget, as the two numbers before, but when we learn to give thanks over it then we will be very proud and happy because in each of the events and circumstances God always work together for the good, virtue, and multiplication.

Through every event in our lives, God is knitting every plan and His plan for our lives to form a blessed life. And through every event in our lives, God will lead us to a life that continues to go up and not down, the head not the tail.

Do not consider small on every event in our lives, because through it God is using every event in our lives to bless it and make it meaningful to the fullness of His plan.

TODAY’S WORD: Romans 8:18-30, NKJV

From Suffering to Glory

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

HAVE WE RETURNED WHAT BELONGS TO GOD?

HAVE WE RETURNED WHAT BELONGS TO GOD?

TODAY’S INSPIRATION

Is it a sin that is forgivable offense if we deliberately tested the Lord / challenge God as the alternating intentionally fall into sin and out the meaning of a repentance. Malachi 3:10, the word of God that holds a very strong words of God to those who lack confidence to test what God had promised, namely to restore what belongs to God: “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, ‘says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

God says, “Test me”, this case I am not able to open the windows of heaven and por out blessings that never-ending to the extent that you no longer have a place to store it and everyone will say that you are blessed by God with abundant.

Our lives are a small part of the universe controlled and run by God. We are not the owners of this life, we just trusted as an operator, but by the love of Jesus Christ, we have been justified to have and enjoy life. Therefore we must return what belongs to God so that, God is responsible and confirms ownership of our lives by making what we do in our lives successful and lucky. Defending when we are in the problem, while entertaining us in under pressure, opening the road as there is no way, everything we need even before we say it.

TODAY’S WORD: Malachi 3:6-12, NKJV

6 “For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. 7 Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances And have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” Says the Lord of hosts. “But you said,

‘In what way shall we return?’ Do Not Rob God 8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. 9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. 11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts; 12 “And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,” Says the Lord of hosts.

TODAY’S VERSE TO REMEMBER:

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.” (Malachi 3:10)

Let us return to what belongs to the Lord.

GOD’S LOVE IS BETTER THAN LIFE

GOD’S LOVE IS BETTER THAN LIFE

TODAY’S INSPIRATION

As a result of anger and resentment towards the nation of Israel, Moses had doubted God’s ability. At that time the Israelites grumbling about food, apparently they are bored with the manna food, the Israelites longed flesh to eat meat, they become disillusioned and acting like a child by constantly complaining or later, the nation is planning to return to Egypt and away from God and His promises.

Moses emotionally carried away by the situation, he began a frantic and chotic, resulting Moses began to lose the Spirit of the Lord and said, “Are you able to feed six hundred thousand people?” And the Lord answered and rebuked Moses with the question, “Is My hands not long enough to make you understand that I who have ever split the Red Sea could do anything, let alone feed this nation.

Obviously, based on the experience of Moses recorded in Exodus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, and Leviticus, God used Moses to make a big miracle that more than meals matter, so there is no reason to doubt the love of God. Against this offense, Moses only allowed to see the Promised Land without ever enjoyed it.

Today when there are events that make you lose your temper, do not ever doubt the love and help of God because it was evident from the moment that the world was created only by the love of God we get a gift to live. Love of God takes away worries, the love of God dispelled the chaos, the love of God gives comfort and erase tears.

TODAY’S WORD: Numbers 11:4-23, NKJV

4 Now the mixed multitude who were among them yielded to intense craving; so the children of Israel also wept again and said: “Who will give us meat to eat? 5 We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; 6 but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!”

7 Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its color like the color of bdellium. 8 The people went about and gathered it, ground it on millstones or beat it in the mortar, cooked it in pans, and made cakes of it; and its taste was like the taste of pastry prepared with oil. 9 And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it.

10 Then Moses heard the people weeping throughout their families, everyone at the door of his tent; and the anger of the Lord was greatly aroused; Moses also was displeased. 11 So Moses said to the Lord, “Why have You afflicted Your servant? And why have I not found favor in Your sight, that You have laid the burden of all these people on me? 12 Did I conceive all these people? Did I beget them, that You should say to me, ‘Carry them in your bosom, as a guardian carries a nursing child,’ to the land which You swore to their fathers? 13 Where am I to get meat to give to all these people? For they weep all over me, saying, ‘Give us meat, that we may eat.’ 14 I am not able to bear all these people alone, because the burden is too heavy for me. 15 If You treat me like this, please kill me here and now—if I have found favor in Your sight—and do not let me see my wretchedness!”

The Seventy Elders

16 So the Lord said to Moses: “Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you. 17 Then I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and will put the same upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone. 18 Then you shall say to the people, ‘Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept in the hearing of the Lord, saying, “Who will give us meat to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt.” Therefore the Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat. 19 You shall eat, not one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days, 20 but for a whole month, until it comes out of your nostrils and becomes loathsome to you, because you have despised the Lord who is among you, and have wept before Him, saying, “Why did we ever come up out of Egypt?”’”

21 And Moses said, “The people whom I am among are six hundred thousand men on foot; yet You have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat for a whole month.’ 22 Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to provide enough for them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to provide enough for them?”

23 And the Lord said to Moses, “Has the Lord’s arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not.”

TODAY’S VERSE TO REMEMBER:

Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.” (Psalm 63:4)

TODAY’S ACTION:

When you’re in a disappointment, remember the love of God when He was on the cross only to redeem your sins.

UNSHAKEABLE KINGDOM

UNSHAKEABLE KINGDOM

TODAY’S INSPIRATION

Have you remembered in the old days how women winnowing rice to separate the rice from the chaff? Rice in the tampi be shaken, thrown up, twisted around to separate the chaff from the rice. Have you seen how the traditional goldsmiths to wiggle the hard sand and soil to separate the precious metals from the soil and sand? Similarly, roughly the Lord will separate the chosen people by putting them right in the unshakable kingdom. God separate us through the many events and unexpected surprise.

To the righteous, He gave His Holy Spirit as a gift so that what they do successful. While to the wicked He gives them duty to accumulate wealth for the righteous (Ecclesiastes 2:26).

God is shaking what is not true as it says in Hebrews 12:27, “The words ‘once more’ indicate the removing of what can be shaken – that is, created things – so that what cannot be shaken may remain.” Until something is unshaken, which is the kingdom of God. In the kingdom of God, there will be no more tears and suffering.

Remain faithful to the word of God, do not stray to the right or left so that we receive the kingdom that is unshakeable.

TODAY’S WORD: Hebrews 12:25-29, NKJV

Hear the Heavenly Voice

25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” 27 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.

TODAY’S VERSE TO REMEMBER:

Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.” (Hebrews 12:27)

TODAY’S ACTION:

The people, who favourite are the word of God and meditate on the Word day and night, are the ones who will survive when the shock occurs. Has the Word of God become our joy?

TODAY’S QUOTE:

For all of us who believe are the chosen and winner people and the people who become the ambassador of kingdom of heaven on earth to be the messenger of God unshaken and victorious.
