PRAYER IS THE KEY

31 Jan

PRAYER IS THE KEY

Today’s Word: Luke 18:1-8

Today’s Bible Reading:

Morning: Matthew 20:17-34

Night: Exodus 25-26

Today’s Inspiration

Rev. Yonggi Cho said prayer is to open your heart and invite Jesus to be Lord and King of your life. If you are praying at home or in your office, then it means you are opening the door of the home and office to Jesus Christ. Prayer makes Jesus Lord of our lives and whatever we do, we know that Jesus is there as our advocate. The story of a widow who persistently petitioned the unjust judge is an illustration regarding prayer that continues to be lifted up to God until something happens.

Prayer is not the last resort to get answers to our problems of life, but prayer is the only way for us to get the solution to the problems that we face. Prayer is the main way for us to see a bad situation changed for the better. pulled down the power of the Kingdom of God to earth. (Matthew 18:18).

The movement and the revival of the first church on earth was when the disciples of the Lord Jesus prayed with a devoted one heart in the upper room, and the power of heaven the Holy Spirit came upon them, and since then the revival and spiritual awakening happened to the whole world, signs and wonders always followed the ministry of the servants of God who prayed.

God’s power has never changed before, now and forevermore. Pray, for God is only a prayer distance. Through prayer you will discover Extraordinary things happen in your life, because your prayer can change everything.

TODAY’S VERSE TO REMEMBER:

“Pray continually.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

TODAY’S ACTION:

What problem that you are facing today? Prayer is the key.

TODAY’S QUOTE:

Prayer means you involve the Lord Almighty in you life. You will never be anxious because God is in your prayer.

THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS

30 Jan

THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS

Today’s Word: Acts 3: 11-21

Today’s Bible Reading:

Morning: Matthew 20:1-16

Night: Exodus 23-24

Today’s Inspiration

There was a church activist who was cheated by his business partner. During counseling, he was asked to forgive his business partner. For this person, it was not easy to forgive because of the hurt caused by his partner. In the end, he decided that he would not harbour thoughts of revenge toward his partner. He would not let the bitterness and the unwillingness to forgive be rooted in his heart. He released forgiveness and let all the pain and his past hurt left him. Then, as he moved forward in hope and forgiveness, miraculously God started to heal him. After he released his anger, there was a blessing that God flowed through the business that he did.

Many Christians in their lives find it difficult to achieve their maximum. One of the causes is that they are slow in realizing their mistakes. Perhaps they may even not dare admit and turn away from their sins (repent). When we feel anger towards others, then the bitterness will take root in our lives. That may lead to diseases and failure in life (Colossians 3:13), God’s promise to us in Matthew 6:14 is “ … if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”

Every sin that is committed needs forgiveness and confession. There are two ways to confess sin, confess our sins to the Lord (1 John 1:9) and confess our sins to each other. (James 5:16). Not just stop right there, but turn away from that sin so that the Lord extends forgiveness. His power of forgiveness cleanse all the sins from our hearts and lives and make all things new.

TODAY’S VERSE TO REMEMBER:

”Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out.” (Acts 3:19)

TODAY’S ACTION:

Is there any revenge, bitterness, and hurt from your past? If you have known the truth that sets you free, let your heart filled with forgiveness and let this power of forgiveness works in your life.

TODAY’S QUOTE:

If we find forgiveness in our heart for those who cause us hurt and pain, we will rise to a higher level in self-rewards and self-welfare.

MODEST

MODEST

Today’s Word: 1 Samuel 15:17-35

Today’s Bible Reading:

Morning: Matthew 19

Night: Exodus 21-22

Today’s Inspiration

In the times of Old Testament, God’s Words or commandments were delivered directly through His prophets. Likewise when Saul, who was holding the highest government position as the first king of Israel. But today, we can know what the word of God is when we read the Bible or from the preaching of God’s servants.

In the words that we read, God revealed the lack of His favor over Saul because he did not want to obey God’s word. The consequence Saul received was the Lord declared that He rejected Saul as king over Israel. Therefore, as 1 Samuel 16:14 says, God departed from Saul. With the absence of God it meant the presence of satan and evil spirits.

His Word declares, “If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands … the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God” (Deuteronomy 28:1, 2). But if we already know His Word but do not want to do it, His Word declares, “However, if you do not obey the LORD your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees … all these curses will come on you and overtake you.” (Deuteronomy 28:15)

Do not harden your heart and reject it when God speaks to us through the word that we meditate. God’s guidance through the Bible will benefit us if we dare to believe His Word and obey it. “He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way…” (Psalm 25:9, 10).

TODAY’S VERSE TO REMEMBER:

But Samuel said to him, “I will not go back with you. You have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you as king over Israel!” (1 Samuel 15:26).

TODAY’S ACTION:

What kind of rhema that you get from God’s Word today? Learn to obey it.

TODAY’S QUOTE:

Modesty will bring you to the God’s blessing.

BIRTHRIGHT

28 Jan

BIRTHRIGHT

Today’s Word: Genesis 25:29-34

Today’s Bible Reading:

Morning: Matthew 18:21-35

Night: Exodus 19-20

Today’s Inspiration

“Birthright” is a right granted to the eldest son in a Jewish family. By accepting this right, he attains the first place after his father (Genesis 43:33) and the right to the throne or to become a leader (2 Chronicles 21:3). In addition, as the first born son is considered to belong to God, each family had to redeem him if he was not “sacrificed” (Exodus 13:11-16).

Paul reminded that Christ is the firstborn over all of creation (Colossians 1:15). So our “birthright” it is obstained through fellowship with Christ as our Lord and Savior. Only through this fellowship, can we be included as firstborn whose names are recorded in heaven (Heb 12:23), and inherit all God’s promises.

But lately, a lot of young people easily relinquish their “birthright” which they already have by marrying their dream partner. Those who are in the market place easily follow the ways of the world when working or running a business that God has entrusted to them.

When Esau sold his birthright, he showed that he despised God’s blessings and promises. He was a foolish person who chose momentary pleasures instead of long-term blessings. It is a special grace and it would be unreasonable if we were to take it for granted. As God’s children it is important for us to watch ourselves in order not to act like Esau, underestimating the grace of God and willingly exchanging it for pleasure or wealth the world has to offer.

TODAY’S VERSE TO REMEMBER:

“See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.” (Hebrews 12:16)

TODAY’S ACTION:

Do not ever trade our birthright with temporary pleasure. Keep your faith by remaining always with the Lord.

TODAY’S QUOTE:

Jesus already paid the price with His blood for a birthright for you.

GOOD WORK

GOOD WORK

Today’s Word: Ephesians 2:1-10

Today’s Bible Reading:

Morning: Matthew 18:1-20

Night: Exodus 16-18

Today’s Inspiration

Human is the work of God’s most perfect creation; created with His own hands! Our “Spiritual DNA” is not prisoners, poverty, or defeat; those are not part of our lives. God created us for His glory, so that our life is to praise and glorify His name. Do not ever look down on yourself.

We are created in Christ Jesus to do good works that God has prepared beforehand. The good work that Christ had done, introducing God as the only God and introduced Himself as the messenger of God (John 17:3). Jesus Christ was also preaching the word of God, and bringing and watching over His people to live in unity and truth.

Just as what Jesus did during His time in this world that is also the good works that God wants us to do. Whatever the circumstances or the situation we are today, do not alter God’s plans for our lives. The wisdom that comes from God will give us the creativity to apply our main works through our position now.

TODAY’S VERSE TO REMEMBER:

”For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)

TODAY’S ACTION:

Be thankful always to the Lord, because He has made us the most perfect creature to carry out His good works.

TODAY’S QUOTE:

The life that we have is the life that can not be destroyed, because our “spiritual DNA” is healthy, winning, super smart, prosper, powerful, influential and wealthy!

OUR CREED

26 Jan

OUR CREED

The Bible, the Old Testament and the New Testament, are the Word of God that was inspired by the Holy Spirit.

The only God is a Trinity comprising the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Three Persons in One

Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of the virgin Mary who conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit. He was crucified, died and was buried. On the third day He rose again from amongst the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the God the Father as our Lord, Saviour and Mediator.

All mankind has sinned and lost the glory of God such that they have to repent and turn back to God to receive the forgiveness of sins.

Justification and new birth occurs through faith by the Holy Spirit in the Blood of Jesus Christ.

Every person who repents must be baptised by immersion in water in the Name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit, that is in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The sanctification of life is a fruit of the new birth because of the belief, through the power of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, in the Blood of Jesus Christ; because of that, sanctification is the principle of Christian living

Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the Lord’s gift for everyone whose heart has been sanctified. The first sign of the baptism of the Holy Spirit are words in a language of the spirit as inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Each time we have Holy Communion to strengthen our union with the Lord and with one another.

Divine healing is prepared through redemption by the sacrifice of Jesus for everyone who believes.

Lord Jesus Christ will come down from heaven to raise up all His people who have died and draw all His people who are still alive so that all will meet Him in the air and then He will return with His holy people to establish the Kingdom of a Thousand years on this earth.

At the end, all those who have died will be raised; the righteous will be raised at the first resurrection and receive eternal life but the wicked will be raised at the second resurrection and receive eternal punishment.

SUPER HERO

26 Jan

SUPER HERO

Today’s Word: 2 Samuel 23:1-17

Today’s Bible Reading:

Morning: Matthew 17

Night: Exodus 14-15

Today’s Inspiration

Who does not know Batman, Superman, Spiderman or Wonder Woman? We are all familiar with this superhero’s figures. We have seen their actions since we were kids. Although they are only fictional, but reading or watching their story makes us excited.

To be a hero does not have to be like those fictional characters or fighting as it did by Ishbaal, Eleazar and Sama. Basically, a person considered a hero who is not only brave and willing to make sacrifice, but also who wants to watch over. Not only watching over one’s own but also motivating the people around him or her to be able to watch over. Watch over the faith, watch over the action, watch over the words, watch over the heart and watch over all aspects of life. How we can be a hero when we ourselves are off guard?

A hero is willing to take the initiative without seeing the profit and the loss for himself. Initiative people are those who always think for the good of people they serve. In order what he does becomes truth he should understand the true inside of the heart of whom he serves. We know what is inside God’s heart who we serve, simply by living close through prayer, worship and His word. A hero is a person who can be a role model that builds and motivates the people around him through its way of life and thinking patterns. By way of life and thinking patterns that always relying on God, David transformed criminals into heroic heroes.

TODAY’S VERSE TO REMEMBER:

“But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.” (1 Thessalonians 5:8)

TODAY’S ACTION:

You are God’s superhero, be an example for others through your life.

TODAY’S QUOTE:

Today God calls you “mighty warrior” (Judges 6:12)
