by Ps Niko Njotorahardjo, Sermon of 2 December 2012

Part 2

It is clear here that those whom God has chosen, He has predestined to be conformed to the image and likeness of Jesus. We are being led by God to be conformed to the image and likeness of Jesus step by step, just as I described earlier, where we are being brought to different levels of water which is ankle-deep, knee-deep, waist-deep and so on, that we become conformed to the image and likeness of Jesus.

Let us reflect on how precious we are to Jesus. We have been chosen since we were in our mothers’ wombs. The Bible says we were chosen before the foundation of the world! It is no coincidence that you are here. You are a chosen people. A chosen people will be processed as follows:

1. Called

A chosen person will hear the call of God. Some of you may have heard [God’s call] at the age of 5 years, others at 15 years, some at 25 years have only just heard the call, and even more so some hear it at the age of 70 years. This is not the point. What is important is that you have heard the call of God. In general, we hear the call in less palatable circumstances. It is rare to hear the call in circumstances where all goes well with us. I also heard the call of God when my circumstances were not good.

2. Justified

We have been justified, not because we have done good works. God does not say, “Since you have done good works, you are now chosen.” We have been justified because we are chosen and have heard the call of God and hadfaith in Jesus Christ.

Maybe some may say, “Am I worthy? I used to be bad. Am I worthy? Will Lord Jesus want to receive me?” Do not talk about the past but about the present at the time when God has called you. You need to live a changed life from now on.

3. Glorified

After being called and justified, the next process is to be glorified. Are you happy to enter the process of being glorified? Amen! Do you know what the process of being glorified is? To be glorified is to be completely and soundly processed. I pray that while you are being completely processed, you will not run away! If you run, I worry that it will be like what we read in our first Scripture today. Don’t run! Even if it is painful, don’t run! I know because I have just come out of being processed for the next level. I did not know that I was processed by God for 4 months. Eventually I said, “Lord, I’m not strong!” I have just completed the processing and have gone up to the next level. But have I arrived? Not yet! There must be more [processing] so that I can continue to go higher and higher. We must keep on going up. I don’t want to fail. I was to pass! So also with you. Let us join hands and move forward. [Be in] unity with one another; strengthen one another. I believe we will reach the goal of being conformed to the image and likeness of Jesus, where we will all meet in heaven. Amen!

Year Ayin Gimel: Ayin (70) talks about the eye because the shape of the character is like an eye. It talks of the Lord’s eyes and our eyes. The Lord is constantly watching over us. How many of you understand that you are guarded by the Lord’s angels? We have angels. Some have seen angels accompanying me. I personally do not feel them, but I was told there are 2 angels guarding me. Every one of you has guardian angels. Because of this, as we cling close to the heart of the Lord, according to Psalm 91, as we walk if there are stones in our path, we will be lifted up so that we will not stumble. The Lord is constantly watching over us to lead and guide us. Do we need the Lord’s guidance as we enter 2013? Definitely! Even today we need the Lord’s guidance because we do not know what will happen when we leave this place. What we do know is that the Lord is always with us and angels are guarding us. Amen!

For example, in order not to stumble, we have been given warnings and sometimes these warnings are stern. Do not be offended because this is from the Lord. Warnings are to save us. I believe that the Lord loves us dearly and is constantly watching over us.

Year of Ayin Gimel: Gimel (3) talks of the camel because Gimel is the number 3 and the character looks like a camel. I am reminded of the story of the rich young ruler who came to Jesus. He knelt down and asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do attain eternal life?” Jesus answered, “Is it not already written, do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not bear false witness, honour your parents, do not covet another’s possessions, etc …” Proudly, the young man replied, “I have done all this since I was young, Teacher.” Jesus looked at him and said, “If you want to be perfect, you lack one thing. Go and sell all your possessions, give the money to the poor thencome and follow Me.” Do you know what happened? After he heard this, the young man did not say a word but turned and walked away. Then Jesus said, “I say to you that it is hard for a rich man (rich in money) to enter the kingdom of heaven. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

It is already difficult for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, but it is said that it is even more difficult for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of heaven. The crowd said to one another, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Why did the young man suddenly turn away? In reality, he suffered from an ailment. If cancer is number 1 and most malignant, then what the young man has suffered is even worse. Do you know what this sickness is? Love of money! I want you to know that in the last few months, the Lord has been constantly speaking to me about this issue. All that is offered by the world is directed toward the love of money. Beware!

As I said earlier, the world is controlled by the enemy, and Chuck Pierce was shown that there are 2 forces that are controlling the networks of the world: law and money. Now, additionally, the world is talking about success, which is actually the love of money. Do not be hooked as I believe the number 1 illness is the love of money.

Do not love money!

1 Timothy 6:9-10: “But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

You must be careful because all that the world offers tends to make us desire to be rich. The aim of pursuing money and success is to be rich! This is why the Word of God says: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33) If you do this, riches will follow you. Do not reverse the order! You need to be careful!

Last night as I watched what the Korean pastor had seen concerning hell, I was horrified. People who love money were there. It did not matter whether they were Christians or not. Even many pastors were in hell. But I want to tell you that we have been chosen by God to go up to the next level. Do not be hooked, but we must follow the Word of God, which is to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, then all things … all things … whatever you need, will be added to you! Amen!

Care for the poor

1 Timothy 6:17-19: “Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.”

If a rich man hopes in his riches, he will be crushed. But if he hopes in the Lord, this will happen:

  1. He will do good works
  2. He will be rich in compassion
  3. He will love to give and share

I believe that if you do this, you will be rich and enter heaven! Because of this, I know why God keeps saying “Give! Give!” What more [if we talk about]tithe? The tithe is not “giving”, as it is [merely] returning to the Lord what is rightfully His. If you give your tithe, you have not given, but only returned what belongs to God. At the very least, I give 20% because 10% belongs to God. That is not giving. If we are told often, “Come on, let’s give … let’s give!”, I am sorry to say that this is not important to me personally. Sometimes pastors do not dare challenge their congregations to give because they are afraid to be thought of as benefiting themselves. However, it is really for your benefit, because one way to be healed of this dangerous disease (love of money) is to give!

Other than looking like a camel, the character Gimel in ancient Hebrew architecture, looks like a person chasing after a poor man to give alms. Therefore, through the character Gimel, the Lord has been speaking to us in the last few months, “Care more for the poor and needy!”

In our church, we have foundations that do this work. I remember a few years ago the Lord asked me, “Niko, I have given you this ministry. What do you want this ministry to be known for?” Truly, I could answer, “To be known for a large congregation, Lord, … amazing praise and worship, or to have a beautiful building …” but I know what the Lord has put in my heart. From the beginning, I said, “Lord, may the ministry that You have given me be known for caring for the poor.”

This is what I have done. At the end of 2012, I have gone to many places to conduct Healing Movement Ministry a total of 209 times. This is the seventh year I have done this. For all these 209 times, I have seen with my own eyes people healed immediately. In 2006, I remember the Lord commanding me, “Go to different cities. In each city, gather the churches and have them invite the poor, the sick, those who have no money to see the doctor, the hopeless, for I will heal them!” And it happened! Hallelujah!

But there is more to what God said, “… and you pay all the costs yourself!” If we calculate [the cost of] the 209 Revivals that we held, it will definitely amount to billions of Rupiah. It is not wasted as perhaps the Lord wants it to be given to the poor to care for them.

I remember when my parents were still alive, and my father was one of the district heads who planted 18 churches. Do you know how old my father was when he became a pastor? He was 69 years old. Is there anyone 60 years old here? If there is, it means you are still young and can still be a servant of God. At 69 years of age, my father began planting churches. At 80, he was called home to the Lord with 18 churches planted.

I remember my parents establishing a small nursing home or orphanage where there were 23 children who have since grown up. Then, there were children as young as two months old who were entrusted to my parents, others were 3-4 years old, etc. They are all grown up now. I remember my father exhorting them, “You must become a servant of the Lord!” True enough, all of them became servants of the Lord, before the parents and the decrepit were accommodated in this home.

Later, I was not aware that my father was given a piece of land near Sentul International Convention Centre (SICC), about 25 minutes away, in Kemang – Billabong. There the Lord commanded us to build a nursing home and orphanage that was to begin operations immediately. This place will be able to house about 450 parents and children. Recently at the Workers’ Prayer, I shared about this. Even though I did not mean to tell you to sow, many of you came to me and said, “Pastor, we have a burden!” At this point we have yet to build something like this project, but if you have, up to this time, been giving to other organisations like ours, I believe this is the will of the Father in Heaven. Amen!

Do you want to enter heaven? Only those who do the will of our Father in Heaven will enter heaven. I believe that we all do the will of the Father and will meet again in heaven. Amen!

Capital: Stockholm | Population: 9.5 million | Religion: Christianity

Unique Feature: Sweden is the third largest country in the European Union.

  1. Sweden is a blessed country. Pray that the comfortable life will not make their faith stagnate and that they grow in spiritual maturity in God.
  2. Sweden is a liberal country. The principles of life in this nation contradict the word of God in matters such as same sex marriage and reject the divine authority of Scripture.
  3. Pray for the young people in this nation. Many are not interested in church or Christianity. Pray that there will be thirst and hunger for God in this young generation in Sweden.
  4. Pray that God will sanctify the churches in Sweden and give the spirit of unity amongst them to pray for God’s visitation upon Sweden.

The Power Of Terminal Thinking by David C. McCasland

Read: Psalm 39:4-13

Lord, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am. —Psalm 39:4

As we look forward to the New Year with plans and resolutions, the voices of godly men from the past encourage us to think about something we prefer to ignore—our own death.

Thomas à Kempis (1379–1471) wrote, “Happy is he that always hath the hour of his death before his eyes and daily preparefor-the-glory-of-god-gives-it-light himself to die.” And Francois Fénelon (1651–1715) wrote, “We cannot too greatly deplore the blindness of men who do not want to think of death, and who turn away from an inevitable thing which we could be happy to think of often. Death only troubles carnal people.”

These men were not referring to a depressing preoccupation with dying, but a dynamic approach to living. We, like the psalmist David, should pray: “Lord, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am. . . . Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor” (Ps. 39:4-5). David speaks of people who work in vain, heaping up wealth with no idea of who will get it (v.6). He concludes by affirming that his hope is in God, who alone can keep him from a life of spiritual rebellion and disaster (vv.7-8).

As we place our hope in God, the brevity of our life on earth is worth considering—every day.

Lord, we know that our life on this earth is so short compared to eternity. Bless us, fill us, use us to tell of Your love and goodness as much we can and for as long as we can until we see You. Amen.

Considering the certainty of death can provide a dynamic approach to life.

A Lasting Letter by Dennis Fisher

Read: Isaiah 40:1-8

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever. —Isaiah 40:8

The family members who founded Hobby Lobby craft stores are born-again believers. The president, Steve Green, is passionate about the Scriptures and plans to establish a Bible museum that will display rare books and manuscripts from around the world. He said, “We are interested in . . . encouraging people to consider what [the Bible] has to say. . . . The goal is to create a museum around the story of the Bible. No book has been persecuted as much or loved as much. Its incredible story needs to be told.”

The Bible has been preserved through time in remarkable ways, and the museum will tell that story. The oldest copies we have of the New Testament are more numerous and closer to the date of the eyewitness events recorded than any other ancient document from that time. Their reports on Christ are more reliable than anything we know about Socrates or Caesar. It should not surprise us that God is behind the scenes using people and circumstances to pass on His inspired text of redemption. Isaiah eloquently proclaimed: “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever” (Isa. 40:8).

As we read the Bible with an open heart, we long to share its message. It’s God’s lasting letter to all.

The Bible stands and it will forever, when the world has passed away;
By inspiration it has been given—
All its precepts I will obey. —Lillenas

In all literature there is nothing that compares with the Bible.

by Ps Niko Njotorahardjo, Sermon of 2 December 2012

Part 1

Time is passing so quickly. Without our realizing it, it is already 2 December 2012. Very soon we will enter a new year, 2013. Let us look at the message God has for us at the end of this year.

Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”

How many of you want to enter heaven? Today, the Lord has spoken to us: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”

Frankly, if I read these verses, a sense of dread arises in my heart. I do not know if you feel the same thing too. To me, this is a warning to live our lives carefully, that is, to do the will of our Heavenly Father. Last night, I watched a DVD which has been circulating and I believe there are those among you who have also watched it. This DVD is about the testimony of a Korean pastor who, at the age of 50 years, had a church comprising 5000 members. At that age he died and was brought to see heaven and hell. After that, he was resurrected from the dead because God gave him 20 years to testify of this incident.

As I watched this DVD, it was as if I was reminded again that for all the time that we have lived in this world, perhaps we have not thought much about heaven and hell. When I watched the DVD about heaven, perhaps I was filled with joy, but do not forget that there are different levels of heaven. If we look at hell, it is frightening but it is real and will definitely take place. Last night, when I watched the DVD, I said to the Lord, “Lord, thank you for reminding Your servant again that Your servant can say to others that our life on earth is only for a certain span.” As the Bible says, a man’s life is 70 years, or 80 years if he is strong. It is the eternal life that is the problem. Do you want to go to heaven or hell for eternity? I pray that all of us here will meet again in heaven. Amen!

Today, the Lord is giving a key that is not talking about those who do not know the Lord, but I found it frightening when I read, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?” Yet, the Lord said, “I do not know you!”… So where will they go? Definitely to hell.

Today, God is saying that those who do the will of the Father in Heaven will go to heaven. The question is: what will of God? Generally speaking, the will of God is written in the entire Bible, but I am reminded of David. God said about David, “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.” (Acts 13:22) David was favoured by God because he did the will of the Father. What will of the Father? The Bible says in Acts 13:36a: “For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, …” David did not serve another generation, but what God wanted in his time that is what David did. If you read Revelation 2 and 3, there God is speaking to the seven churches. Each time God finishes giving direction, warning and advice to each church, He ends by saying, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches …” Amen!

Maybe we generally do know the basic will of God, but what we need to pay attention to is the command of God for a specific period in time. What does God want to do at that time? This is more important and we have to pay close attention to this! If you read Isaiah 48:18-19 about the promises of God: “Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Your descendants also would have been like the sand, and the offspring of your body like the grains of sand; His name would not have been cut off nor destroyed from before Me.”

The powerful messages of God in 2012

The year 2012 will end soon. When I look back at the year, I see that there were 3 powerful messages that the Lord gave for 2012. And now we have to individually check ourselves: have I responded well to the Lord’s message for me? I believe this is what is meant by doing the will of our Father in Heaven. The three powerful messages throughout 2012 are:

1.    The year 2012 is the Year of God’s Favour

The Lord says that 2012 is the Year of God’s Favour. Multiplication and promotion because of God’s favour will take place. Miracles still happen!

I believe that all of us want to receive the Lord’s favour. I pray that all of you, brothers and sisters, will be favoured by the Lord. Why? Because our lives are pleasing before the Lord. This is the Lord’s powerful message: live lives pleasing to the Lord. Let’s take a moment to examine if our lives, thus far, are pleasing before the Lord. The Lord promises that if our lives are pleasing to Him, 1 Corinthians 2:9 applies to our lives: “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, not ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” Amen!

2.   The year 2012 is the beginning of the harvest of 1 billion souls

A harvest that has never occurred in the history of mankind and before Jesus returns, will begin in the year 2012. I am going to repeat, and I do not care how often I have said this, so that you continually remember what God said to me several years ago: “I will pour out My Spirit! I will pour out My Spirit! At (this) time I pour our My Spirit …!

Three things will happen when God pours out His Spirit, according to Joel 2:28-32:

  • 3 generations will be used by God in amazing ways (verses 28-29)
  • Shakening will take place (verses 30- 31)

You may have already heard me speak of this so often, but if you look at the situation of the world since I spoke of this a few years ago, do you not see the condition of world affairs intensifying? True! And it will increase in the future. But following on points 1 and 2 above is point 3:

  • Many will call on the Name of the Lord and will be saved.

Today, the Holy Spirit is being poured out in amazing ways. A servant of God, Bob Jones, saw how the glory of God is being poured out. Through the World Prayer Assembly in May 2012, the world has been shown that which was spoken of in Habakkuk 2:14: “ For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”

This is the era of the glory of the Lord when the Holy Spirit is being poured out. Do we respond to this?

We can respond according to the will of our Heavenly Father in the following ways:

  • Desire to be brought deeper

Last month, I talked about how we are immersed in the Holy Spirit, as illustrated by the water flowing out from the threshold of the Temple (Ezekiel 47). Perhaps we are in a condition where the water level is at the ankle, knee, waist, or we fully immersed in water, but more importantly, is our response like this: “Lord, take me deeper!” Do you respond in prayer in this way? Amen! This is what the Lord wants.

  • Unity

I am reminded of Jesus’ prayer in John 17. There, Jesus prayed this way, “Father , the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know and believe.” (John 17:22-23) If the world believes, it means that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord! Jesus is our Lord and Saviour!

I want to ask, and come, let us each examine ourselves. Is our response [to]unity as mentioned?

  • In the family, are husband and wife in unity? Are the parents and children in unity? Is there unity in family relationships?
  • In ministry, is one church in unity with another?

This is the will of the Father in Heaven. I pray that we respond in this way.

Go to the Prayer Tower frequently

Brothers and Sisters, [in respect of the subject of] unity, we have been called to pray, praise and worship God together in unity, day and night. This speaks of the Prayer Tower. You need to frequent the Prayer Tower! Go often to the Prayer Tower! Today, I see testimonies from many servants of God, more so in America, that make no sense because the god of this world is the enemy. Chuck Pierce was shown that now the powers of darkness have made networks focus on law and finance. It is not surprising that Christianity is no longer the main foundation of America. It is said that they have compromised on many matters. This is saddening. This includes abortion and same-sex marriages and I was shocked to read that Washington state and Colorado have drafted a referendum requesting to legalise the sale of marijuana! Imagine – this is the condition of the world these days.

Servants of the Lord in those states have raised their hands in surrender and do not know how to enter the great harvest. Perhaps it has already been prophesied that Asia will be the trigger for other continents, which the Lord has spoken of 2 years ago so that everyone would enter the Prayer Tower.

Brothers and Sisters, let us enter the Prayer Tower often. Maybe you are a leader of a business. Come, as we enter the new year, invite key staff to enter the Prayer Tower to ask the Lord what to do because we no longer know what to do. But as you enter the Prayer Tower in united prayer, praise and worship, day and night, the Lord will lead you. This is important. Pay attention to what I am saying today.

3.   The year 2012 is the year of going up to the next level

On 16 September 2012, the Jewish calendar changed year from 5772 (Ayin Beth) to 5773 (Ayin Gimel) [which will last until 4 September 2013]. God’s prophets have been given the understanding that the year Ayin Gimel is a bridge between the past and the future. The Lord explained to me that “I am taking the church to the next level.”

There are 2 reasons why the Lord is taking the church up to the next level:

a.   Without[the church] going to the next level, the harvest of 1 billion souls will not take place

b.   Jesus is coming very soon for the second time. We must be found to be without spot or blemish.

Perhaps some are asking from this level to the next, how far do we go? What is the target?

Romans 8:29-30: “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”

Bless The Boundaries by Joe Stowell

Read: Psalm 1

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners. —Psalm 1:1

In all the years I’ve worked with people, I’ve yet to meet someone whose life was all messed up because he or she kept God’s commands. Yet, in a day when personal freedom is celebrated as an inalienable right, talk of conforming our lifestyle to God’s ways is often viewed as an infringement. And anyone who speaks out in favor of God’s boundaries is ruled out of bounds. But in this frenzy to be free, it should not go unnoticed that our society is increasingly marked with a haunting sense of meaninglessness and despair.

God’s people should have a distinctly different view of boundaries. Like the psalmist, we must realize that a blessed life comes from delighting in the law of the Lord (Ps. 1:2)—not in living like those who “walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take” (v.1 niv). A believer in Jesus will recognize that God’s boundaries are not meant to take the pizazz out of life. Instead, they are divine fences constructed with God’s wisdom to help us avoid the treachery and trouble of reckless living.

Next time you are tempted to break through God’s boundaries, remember His loving purpose in putting up fences. Choose to bless God for the boundaries and for the way they bless you.

What freedom lies with all who choose to live for God each day!
But chains of bondage shackle those who choose some other way. —D. DeHaan

God’s fences keep you within the bounds of His blessings.

28 Dec

‘Twas’ 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38 when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven’s gate.

their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.

they could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.

they were filled with such joy, they didn’t know what to say.

they remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.

“where are we?” asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.

“this is heaven.” declared a small boy. “we’re spending Christmas at God’s house.”

when what to their wondering eyes did appear,

but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.

He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.

then He opened His arms and He called them by name.

and in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring

those children all flew into the arms of their King

and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,

one small girl turned and looked at Jesus’ face.

and as if He could read all the questions she had

He gently whispered to her, “I’ll take care of mom and dad.”

then He looked down on earth, the world far below

He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe

then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,

“Let My power and presence re-enter this land!”

“may this country be delivered from the hands of fools”

“I’m taking back my nation. I’m taking back my schools!”

then He and the children stood up without a sound.

“come now my children, let me show you around.”

excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.

all displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.

and i heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,

“in the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT.”
